Let me give you a tip if you’re competing in Brazil.
Actually, scratch that — this applies anywhere.
The Golden Rule
There’s one thing you should never forget to bring to any tournament.
Never fail on this.
Always bring toilet paper.
Yes, I’m serious.
Why This Matters
Look, competitions make you anxious.
The nerves. The adrenaline. The questionable açaí bowl you had for breakfast.
You will need to go to the bathroom.
And here’s the harsh reality: the bathroom conditions at most Brazilian tournaments are… let’s say, not ideal.
Poor conditions. Limited resources. Sometimes no toilet paper at all.
I’ve been to enough championships to learn this lesson the hard way.
My Tournament Survival Kit
Now I never leave home without:
- ✅ Toilet paper (emergency roll, always)
- ✅ Hand sanitizer (trust me)
- ✅ Small towel
- ✅ Spare underwear (don’t ask)
The toilet paper is non-negotiable.
The Bigger Lesson
You can drill techniques for months. You can have perfect conditioning. You can study your opponents.
But if you’re stuck in a tournament bathroom with no TP?
Game over.
LOL.
Real Talk
This might sound like a joke post, but I’m 100% serious.
Veteran competitors know: the small things matter.
- Tape for your fingers? Check.
- Mouthguard? Check.
- Tournament-grade toilet paper? CHECK.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
